🚐 1. Extremely Easy Setup
No poles, stands, ropes, or complicated frames
Attaches directly to a metal vehicle surface in seconds
Great for spontaneous movie nights while camping, tailgating, or RVing
Packs away much faster than traditional outdoor screens
Best for: campers, van lifers, RV owners, road trips, and anyone who dislikes setup hassle.
🧲 2. Strong Magnetic Attachment
Neodymium magnets provide a secure hold on steel vehicle panels
Less likely to blow over compared with tripod or freestanding screens
Keeps the screen positioned correctly without constant adjustment
Advantage: You can set it up and relax instead of babysitting the screen.
🌌 3. Perfect for Campsite Movie Nights
Turns your vehicle into a mini drive-in theater
Great entertainment option when:
Campfire restrictions exist
Kids need evening activities
Weather keeps you inside the RV
You’re traveling with friends
Pairs well with:
Portable projector
Bluetooth speaker
Streaming stick
RV outdoor TV setup
🖼️ 4. Better Image Quality Than Hanging a Sheet
Projection-grade fabric improves:
Contrast
Color accuracy
Sharpness
Viewing consistency
Compared with a bedsheet or tarp:
✅ Less wrinkling
✅ Less light distortion
✅ More professional picture quality
🔧 5. Designed Around Vehicle Shapes
The "bridge-fit" design is a clever feature:
Helps span gaps between doors, windows, and body panels
Reduces wrinkles caused by uneven vehicle surfaces
Creates a flatter viewing area
This matters because a curved or sagging screen can make movies look distorted.
🏕️ 6. Excellent for RV and Camping Travel
Advantages for a road warrior:
Lightweight
Folds compactly
Takes little storage space
Doesn't require carrying a bulky screen stand
For someone with a large RV like a Class A, this could be much easier than hauling a 100"+ freestanding screen.
📏 7. Multiple Size Options
The two sizes cover different needs:
60-inch
✅ Smaller SUVs
✅ Pickup trucks
✅ Quick solo/family use
✅ Easier storage
84-inch
✅ Vans
✅ Large SUVs
✅ RVs
✅ Group movie nights
✅ More "drive-in theater" feel
🎥 8. Works Well With Portable Projectors
Designed for:
Mini projectors
Camping projectors
100–500 lumen units
Good match for:
Battery-powered projectors
Outdoor movie setups
Low-light environments
💰 9. Potentially Cheaper Than a Full Outdoor Theater Setup
A traditional outdoor setup may require:
Screen stand ($100–$300+)
Carrying case
Storage space
More setup time
This type of screen gives you the experience with less equipment.
Things to Watch Out For (Important Cons)
Since you have a Class A RV ("Big Booty Judy"), these are worth considering:
⚠️ 1. Magnet Compatibility
The biggest limitation:
Will not work on fiberglass RV walls
Will not work on aluminum panels
Many RVs (especially Class A motorhomes) have fiberglass exterior walls, meaning this may not attach at all unless you have exposed steel surfaces.
⚠️ 2. Wind Limitations
Even strong magnets have limits:
Wind can still pull on the fabric
Strong gusts may damage magnets or the screen
Best used in calm evenings
⚠️ 3. Vehicle Paint Protection
Potential concerns:
Dirt trapped under magnets could scratch paint
Magnets should only attach to a clean surface
Avoid sliding the screen while attached
⚠️ 4. Requires a Dark Environment
Even a good projection screen struggles with:
Campground lights
Streetlights
Early evening daylight
Best picture:
🌙 After sunset
🌲 Shaded campsite
✨ Dark surroundings
My Take for Your Camping Use
For a steel-bodied SUV, pickup, Jeep, or van, this is a very clever and convenient product.
For your Class A RV, I would first check the exterior construction. If Big Booty Judy has fiberglass sides (very common), this particular magnetic screen probably won't work well.
A better RV solution may be:
Freestanding inflatable projector screen
Roll-up portable screen
Awning-mounted screen
Rear-of-RV projection setup
Application
Magnetic portable outdoor projector screen for van/SUV camping.
Pros
• Foldable, easy setup
• 16:9 HD compatible
• Magnetic for vehicles
Cons
• Size specific
• Needs flat surface
Conclusion
Convenient movie screen for outdoors. Good for travel. Love this company . I have their vent cover for my RV too . Well made
Seems very durable, and made of a projector-compatible material (we have a few other screens too -- and I've used this bright/reflective material before). It's a great addition to our kit! The magnets are really strong too.
This projector screen is a great addition for anyone who enjoys watching movies outdoors. I like that it's lightweight, folds up easily, and doesn't take up much storage space, making it simple to bring along for camping trips, tailgating, or backyard movie nights.
The magnetic design is one of my favorite features because it attaches easily to the side of a vehicle without needing a complicated setup. The 84-inch screen provides a nice-sized viewing area, and the material gives a bright, clear picture with good color and sharpness when paired with a quality projector.
Even after being folded for storage, the screen smoothed out nicely once it was hung up. Setup only takes a few minutes, which means more time enjoying the movie and less time dealing with equipment.
Overall, this is a well-designed portable projector screen that's convenient to transport and easy to use. If you're looking for an easy way to create an outdoor theater experience at home or while traveling, this screen is an excellent choice.
This is a large projection screen. Most screens you have to figure out have to hang them. I liked this particular screen because it was a magnetic type one. You can hang it on an rv or a fence. It lays flat. It’s easy to put up. Great value for the screen.
